DGE is a consulting environmental company with 6 departments nation wide. We perform surveys and remediation of soil and ground-water pollution including use of in-situ techniques, risk assessment, discussions with the authorities, evaluation of chemicals, business advisory and cleaner technology. We are employed by a number of private companies, amongst others oil companies, contractors, insurance companies, leading law firms, and many other leading industries, Further we solve cases for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, most of the counties and a number of municipalities and waterworks.

Ballerup Centret, 1998 - Removal of 16.000 tons of polluted soil
In connection with a large construction project in Ballerup Centret with DATEA as owner DGE has planned and carried out an extensive environmental effort including coordination with the owner, contractors, and the municipality, carrying out environmental investigations and cleaning up and disposal of 16.000 tons of soil polluted with heavy metals and asphalt.

Nordisk Film, 1998 - Cleaning up 2.300 tons of polluted soil
As part of the construction of new studios in Valby with Nordisk Film A/S as owner DGE has planned and carried out the environmental effort which included coordination with the owner, contractors and Miljøkontrollen, soil and ground-water surveys, protective ground-water measures, protective measures for the indoor climate, cleaning up and disposing app. 2.300 tons of soil polluted with chlorinated solvents and cinders with heavy metals.

Oliebranchens Miljøpulje (OM), 1994-1999 - approximately 100 projects
DGE has for more than 5 years been a counsultant for OM and has for the last 3 years solved all cases in Ribe County numbering 20-30 cases per year. The cases includes planning, economic planning, coordination with the county, and carrying out investigations and remediation including the use of in-situ techniques.

Investigation and cleaning up gas works, 1992-1999
For Ringsted, Stege, and St.Heddinge minicipalities and Storstrøms County DGE has carried out investigations and remediation of old gas works. The pollution in question includes tarry residues including PAH, cyanides and heavy metals.

OK gas stations - 20-30 cases per year
DGE has over the last 10 years carried out investigations and remediation on OK gas stations all over the country and coordinated the effort with the authorities. The remediation effort has amongst other things included in-situ techniques like vacuum venting, airsparging, and bioslurping. 20-30 cases are carried out per year.

Aalborg Portland - Environmental monitoring
Throug the last 8 years DGE has been environmental consultant for Aalborg Portland and amongst other things carried out monitoring of ground-water and drinking water. Also the influence on the salt water/fresh water balance from the limestone pit. The monitoring is carried out with advanced borehole logging equipment and digital data recording equipment and every year a report for the county is prepared.

Sønderjylland - In-situ remediation of 65.000 litres of petrol
By using in-situ techniques in order to bacteriologically decompose the petrol in the soil and ground-water DGE in cooperation with a dutch company carries out remediation of one of the largest petrol pollutions in the country. The remediation goes according to plan. After 2 years app. 50.000 litres of petrol has been decomposed and the project is expected to end year 2000.

Vestsjællands Conty, 1998 - 60 preliminary environmental investigations in 3 months
DGE's department in Lyngby has by a concentrated effort over a period of 3 months carried out noting less than 60 preliminary environmental investigations for Vestsjællands County. The effort included planning, gathering of historical data, laboratory analysis, risk assessments, and reporting.

Ribe County / Oliebranchens Miljøpulje - New in-situ technique
DGE's department in Vejen has developed a new in-situ technique in which a supersaturated oxygene/water solution is injected into the ground-water in order to stimulated the bacteriological decomposing of oil components. The technique has successfully been tested on two ground-water pollutions in Ribe County and Vejle County. The projects are partly financed by Ribe County and Oliebranchens Muljøpulje and partly by Kuwait Petroleum A/S, Vamdrup municipality, and Vejle County.

Keminøglen - Danish Environmental Protection Agency, Dansk Industri, Dansk Metal, Motorbranchens Arbejdsgiverforening.
DGE has developed an environmental evaluation system for the products used in the auto business and carried out evaluation of app. 200 products from app. 40 producers. The products are evaluated for effects on the working environment, the aquatic environment and for oil separation caracteristics. The project is economically supported by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the evaluation is paid by the producers. The work is published in 1999 by Dansk Industri, Dansk Metal and Motorbranchens Arbejdsgiverforening with support from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. Keminøglen can also be found on the Internet and an annual publication in book-form is planned.

Frichs Factories, Århus - complex soil pollution with cyanides, heavy metals, and oil
In a multi-year period DGE has for the building company Byggeselskabet Brdr. de Linde investigated and cleaned up large complex soil pollutions originating from more than 100 years of railroad equipment production.

Collstrop Dansk Træimprægnering A/S - investigation/remediation on 7 factories
DGE has over the last 9 years been the environmental consultant for Collstrop which covers app. 75% of the Danish market for wood impregnation. The work has included discussions with the authorities, environmental investigations and remediation of ground-water pollution.

Kuwait Petroleum A/S , Q8 - environmental investigations and larger in-situ projects
Through the last 8 years DGE har carried out a number of investigations for Q8 and for the time beeing several large in-situ projects are carried out.

Holmegaards Glasværk, Royal Scandinavia
For 5 years DGE has been environmental consultant for Holmegaards Glasværk, now Royal Scandinavia. At present an in-situ remediation of a large heating oil pollution is carried out.

Phønix Contractors, Icopal, Colas, Pankas, Superfos Construction
Over the last 12 years DGE has carried out environmental investigations at a number of asphalt factories belonging to the above mentioned companies and assisted the companies with discussions with the authorities. DGE has thereby achieved a thorough knowledge of the environmental issues of the business.

Over the years DGE has been the environmental consultant for a number of insurance companies and carried out investigations, remeditive projects, and discussions with the authorities.
